i wanted to make a shrine dedicated to the first love of my life, britney spears. a woman i have admired since i was but a 2 year old crawling around. miss spears along with my own mother raised me into the person i am today. i will forever adore and love her (and my mother js...)

the year is 1999, i am a 2 year old... and britney has just released her first album "...baby one more time"... now i would be lying if i said i remember it all. no, my mother told me all these stories. i only started fully remembering britney by the time her third album "britney" came out in 2001 when i was around 4 years old. however, i have had her first album on cd ever since i could form actual memories. other than hearing her on the radio and the occasional music video on mtv (when they still had music on there...). my mom would tell me i would only ever dance to her music and would seem uninterested at any other artist that played.

roll out 2004, it's christmas and i am 7 years old and i only remember two gifts i got... the first was from my nana (grandmother), a dvd of the first ever bratz movie (brats: starin & stylin), and the dvd version of britney's greatest hits.

this cute black number actually just reminded me of a funny childhood story...
i was visiting my cousins at a cute little beach resort, were must have been 6,7,8? either way it was on one particular evening where we were watching a movie in the living room... something catches my eye.. it's a magazine, but even more importantly... a magazine with britney on the cover!now i don't remember which magazine it was and i can't even find the outfit britney was wearing but i know it was a pink version of the my prerogative album cover. anyway, to cut a long story short: my cousins mother yelled at us for looking at the magazine? all because there were like stick figures showing sex positions... which we didn't even look at, we were interested in britney and we were CHILDREN?? weirdo. she's one of those moms who are anti-sex, no sex education or anything whilst my mom is all free the nipple, teach your kids about sex and their bodies. and the visit was cut short because my mom got tired of my aunt. funny nonetheless!

kinda... i mean i have this sick shirt that i love with miss britney on it!
and i have two of her perfumes (the classics, duh!). curious and the original fantasy! i have tried island fantasy though! i love the ones with sweet notes, which is why fantasy is my favourite!

i remember when this perfume was first released i got a gift set that came with this cute little clutch/purse box thing that was pink with the green stones but i can't seem to find an image of it...sobs.
