i discovered sabrina in 2017; just before the release of her song "why" and a year before her album "singular act i". from then on i have been obsessed with her, i eat, sleep, breathe sabrina. i think it's because i also discovered her during a time in my life that wasn't pleasant at all, and she really helped me get through it.

eyes wide open is sabrina's debut album, it was released april 14, 2015 and under disney owned record label hollywood records as she was filming on her disney channel show girl meets world. it's an okay album, it reflects the time it came out and sabrina's age. i personally don't like it, i don't listen to any of the songs on that album. pretty sure sabrina herself has said she doesn't like most songs on the album. alas, the disney machine. and she was 13 i believe, nobody likes what they put out at 13.

evolution is sabrina's second album, it was released october 14, 2016 and under disney owned record label hollywood records as she was still filming on her disney channel show girl meets world. this album is (rightfully) more mature than her first album, and shorter. it's more a pop record than a folk-pop album. some great dance songs on it, i adore thumbs, the music video for it was dark and graining which i also adore! it definitely showed sabrina's more serious musician side

singular act 1 is sabrina's third album, it was released november 9, 2018 and still under disney owned record label hollywood records, though girl meets world ended in 2017. you can hear that sabrina steps up her game in this album, she is credited as a co-writer on all the songs. there's themes of self-empowerment and maturing. it's a fantastic album, i love all the songs, skip none. my favourites would have to be paris, sue me and hold tight the latter being severly underrated.

singular act 1 is sabrina's fourth album, it was released july 19, 2019, it serves as the sister to act 1 and is the last album released under hollywood records!!!! this album is PEAK sabrina, it sets the stage for her next albums. it covers personal topics including anxiety and self-reflection but also her sexuality and being a young woman. i have no skips on this album either but my personal faves are i can't stop me, exhale and looking at me. the visuals for this album are darker, sabrina has brunette hair on the album cover due to her filming her movie the short history of the long road.

email's i can't send is sabrina's fifth album, it was released july 15, 2022; 3 years after her last album (thanks pandemic) and is the first album released under island records!!!! what can i say about this album that hasn't been said already? thank god for island records, this is what sabrina needed to reach mainstream. our baby is all grown up! it was with this album that sabrina finally headlined in the UK and i got to see her!! there are songs that make me bawl my eyes out on this album, because i liked a boy hit home when it released (i've been called a homewrecker too sigh...) but this album also gave birth to the masterpiece that is nonsense, maybe sabrina is the horniest girl on the planet (jk) it's a bop obvi!!

fruitcake is a christmas EP, released november 17, 2023. i mean, it's a christmas album what more do you want? she rewrote nonsense to include christmas inuendos, all the other songs are original rather than covers. santa doesn't know you like i do makes me cry but the video is so cozy and cute, it just has to be on my chritmas playlist. in the past, sabrina has released two other original christmas songs that include silver nights and christmas the whole year round. this year (2024), sabrina will be releasing a netflix christmas special, stay tuned if you are a fan!

short n' sweet is sabrina's sixth album released august 23, 2024. if you don't know or haven't heard her song espresso i'm afraid you live under a rock. that song was everywhere this summer, it is the song of the summer and will continue to be the song of the summer. maybe she'll release hot chocolate or gingerbread latte for christmas, who knows! either way, it's a great song as far as earworms go. please, please, please was also everywhere for a hot minute and the video included her then boyfriend, actor barry keoghan..meh on his part. taste is one of my favourites, everything about that song is brilliant. it's rumoured to be about shawn mendes and camila cabello, google that mess. the music video stars jenna ortega who is probably one of the most popular actresses right now, and thanks to jenna starring in horror-esque movies and shows, it makes sense the video was based on another horror comedy movie death becomes her. the vma performance paid homage to britney spear's video for oops...! i did it again. iconic. my personal favourites are bed chem and juno which is ironic, considering i am asexual and these songs are her most sexual to date. she is currently on tour for this album! also she won 2 grammys for this album!!!!

man's best friend is sabrina's seventh album released august 29, 2025. i can't lie, i think this is a weak album. i think that short n' sweet and even emails i can't send were stronger records compared to man's best friend. i love sabrina, and this album does have some good songs but for me, there's many skips. i enjoy nobody's son and when did you get hot?, and can relate to don't worry i'll make you worry.
i personally felt that as a leading single, manchild was a weak choice compared to espresso and tears is lacking for me. that's okay, every artist has an album that falls flat for some, i feel that this year (2025) has been weak for pop music (in my opinion!!!). though, i do feel that sabrina's feature of taylor's the life of a show girl is stronger than most songs on this album.
hoping her next album is better, sorry for hating on this album so much!
